Privacy
What this site collects about you, which is very close to nothing, and what happens when you follow a link away from it to a retailer.
Updated
The short version: this site runs no analytics, sets no cookies of its own, and loads no third-party scripts. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you.
The server that delivers these pages keeps standard web server logs — the requested address, a timestamp, and technical information the browser sends with every request. These are used to keep the site running and are not linked to any identity, profile or advertising system.
What we do not do
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, nothing.
- No advertising network. No ad tags, no retargeting pixels, no audience segments.
- No third-party scripts at all. No embedded widgets, no chat, no social buttons, no font service calling home. Fonts are served from this domain.
- No cookies set by this site.
- No account, no newsletter, no sign-up form. There is nothing to submit.
This is a permanent design decision rather than a current state. A third-party script is a third party you have to trust on your reader’s behalf, and we would rather not ask.
Calculators
The free calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server, because there is no server to send it to — the whole tool is code that arrives with the page.
Some of them put your selections into the address bar so a result can be bookmarked or shared. That address is visible to you and goes nowhere else unless you share it.
When you leave
Affiliate links take you to a retailer, and once you arrive you are subject to that retailer’s own privacy policy and cookies. The retailer will typically set a cookie recording that you arrived from here, which is the mechanism by which commission is attributed. We receive aggregate reporting about sales from those programmes. We do not receive your identity, your address, or what else you looked at.
Local storage
The site may store a preference in your browser’s own local storage — nothing more than a setting you chose. It stays on your device, it is readable only by this site, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Changes
If this policy changes it will be dated at the top of the page. Questions go to contact .
